Travels through Tanzania

Habari! In the summer of 2006, I packed my bags for Tanzania to do research for my master's thesis on the country's fair trade tea estates. Working with a nonprofit called TechnoServe, which sponsored my project, I learned a tremendous amount about fair trade, tea, Tanzanian life and much more. I also managed to get out and about to climb Kilimanjaro, spar with some local boxers, and hang out with some real characters, experiences I write about in the stories below. Enjoy!
